Justin Timberlake 'retired' by fans after album, tour flop

The bad luck started when the album bombed but we were told the tour was doing well but now it appears even the tour is flopping.

His album debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100but dropped off the Billboard Hot 200 completely after just four weeks.

Meanwhile, Timberlake's "The Forget Tomorrow" tour is far from selling out. Tickets in all sections are available in almost every city and the highest price for the best seats can be found for under $900.

On Friday, Timberlake announced he was canceling his June concert in Columbia, South Carolina. While no reason was given, insiders point to slow ticket sales. Jennifer Lopez also faces the same reckoning earlier this year when tickets for her "This Is Me… Now" tour were so sluggish in selling, she had to cancel seven cities and rename her tour "This Is Me… Live".

Discuss. Please remember to keep it cute.

As with Jennifer Lopez, there's no real place for either of them any more. Neither have what it takes to be all time legends. They should each be grateful for the spotlight they were given but accept their limitations have now been exposed and their time is up.

If he's smart he'll do an *NSYNC reunion tour and new album.

I mean look at the Backstreet Boys and NKOTB, they're selling out tours and their latest albums are doing well on the charts.

U get all of this from 1 cancelled show?

Then the tour will consist of 76 shows instead of 77.

I dunno about the other OJHs but I'm going to take this one cancelled show and run with it.

Almost no one sells out shows until the day of when the prices drop, he's fine.

All this because he canceled 1 date, a last minute addition to his tour? :skull:

I didn't know his album debuted at #19 and left the charts after 4 weeks. He bombed

His album debuted at #4. Jesus guys, what's with all the fake news? :skull:

The album did bomb, yes, but the tour itself is going great, with only 1 cancellation. 88% of it is sold out.

So much fake news in one article.

The lead single, "Selfish" debuted at #19 and stayed within the Top 40 for many weeks. It's the one stable hit from the album.

The album debuted at #4, then fell off after four weeks.

Even the author knows this because she purposely "confused" Billboard Hot 100 with Billboard 200. Albums can't chart on the Hot 100. That's stupid.

Also, the tour is 88% sold out. The one venue that was canceled, was the last minute addition.

He can reduce the ticket prices. Male singers dont really have massive stages and over the top theatrics like beyonce, taylor etc so why do they think they can charge such high prices. All he does is stand with a mic and sing.
