She kicked off her acting career at the age of two with a role on the BBC series Growing Pains and now, the child of one of the world’s most famous musicians, stars in one of the most-loved Netflix shows.
Following a brief appearance in the teen drama series 90210, this brunette star’s breakthrough role came starring alongside Sandra Bullock in the 2009 movie The Blind Side.
The 5ft5in actress then went on to star in films such as Priest, Abduction, a Snow White adaptation called Mirror Mirror, and then a romcom called Stuck In Love.
Television wise, the now 35-year-old star has enjoyed roles in series such as The Last Tycoon, Les Misérables, Calls, and Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
She is currently filming the fourth season of her highly successful Netflix show, which first aired on the streaming platform in 2020 and sees this American English star take on the main role – but can you guess who it is?

For anyone yet to work it out, the baby-faced star is Lily Collins – the only daughter of Genesis singer Phil Collins and his second wife Jill Tavelman.
Lily was born on March 18, 1989, in Guildford, England, and was raised in Los Angeles, but sadly her parents split in 1994 and their divorce was finalized in 1996 – with Phil, now 73, later admitting to being a ‘b**tard’ for cheating on Jill during their 12-year marriage.
Jill was awarded a $21 million (£17 million) settlement and three years later, in 1999, Phil married Swiss-born Orianne Cevey. They divorced nine years later, with Orianne getting a $31 million (£25 million) settlement.
In a 2017 interview while promoting her film To The Bone, Lily opened up about how her famous father’s split with her stepmom Orianne was partly to blame for her eating disorder.
Lily said she believed that her own anorexia battle began due to stress at school and the emotional turmoil when her father divorced Orianne in 2008.
‘There was a terrible disconnect that grew between us,’ she explained. ‘Many of my deepest insecurities stem from my issues with my dad.’
It brought back memories of his bitter break-up with Lily’s mother Jill when she was just seven years old.
In 2017, Lily also released her memoir entitled Unfiltered: No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me in which she penned an open letter to her father, who has won a total of eight Grammy Awards throughout his lengthy career.

In the book, she wrote: ‘I forgive you for not always being there when I needed and for not being the dad I expected.
‘I forgive the mistakes you made. And although it may seem like it’s too late, it’s not. There’s still so much time to move forward.’
A couple of years after her autobiography was released, Lily really took center stage when she landed the role of Emily Cooper, a 29-year-old who moves from Chicago to Paris for a temporary social media strategy job at Savoir.
Emily in Paris first landed on Netflix in October 2020 and Lily recently treated fans to some behind-the-scenes snaps as she wrapped up filming in France before heading to Rome, Italy.
At the beginning of May, Lily confirmed that the upcoming episodes will land on the global streaming platform in two parts and promised fans season four will be full of ‘adventure.’
The first five episodes will be available to watch on August 15 with viewers having to wait almost an entire month for the second instalment in September.
And the cast, including Lucien Laviscount, 31, who plays Emily’s Brit love interest Alfie and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, 61, aka her Parisian boss Sylvie, say the new season is going to bring more drama than ever before.
Lucien branded the series ‘chaotic’ and ‘heartbreaking’ while Philippine gave a taste of the action by saying the new episodes are all about ‘revenge.’

But while Emily Cooper’s love life is somewhat of a rollercoaster, Lily’s offscreen romance is a lot more stable.
In September 2020, she announced her engagement to film director and writer Charlie McDowell, and the couple married in September 2021 at Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.
In the past, Lily has stated that she doesn’t like to discuss her relationships publicly after witnessing the difficulties caused by the media coverage of her parents’ divorce.
However, in October 2022 she said during an interview with E! at the 16th Annual GO Campaign Gala: ‘We can kind of conquer anything.
‘We’ve been through so many changes globally, personally, and to be able to have a partner next to you that makes you laugh in times when you need it the most and helps you emotionally get through things, like moving to a foreign country for four months.’
