Airbnb's vs other rentals Santa Maria Novella

Buonasera everyone. I appreciate you for even reading this. My family and I are going to be heading to Florence for a week as part of our summer trip. We plan to be heading to a few provinces such as Siena and Chianti, so the location of Santa Maria Novella seems to be a great spot for accessability. I am open to changing this, but that's what my initial research has pointed to.

We've found some airbnbs, vrbos, and also found some options such as apartment rentals https://www.apartmentsflorence.it/santa-maria-novella

I've tried to look at some reviews but the apartments do not have any. i'd love to know if people have experience with them and if we need to be looking elsewhere. Gratzie!

I don’t have experience in the website you linked, but in both of the times I’ve been to Florence within the last year, I’ve always stayed in Airbnbs which are near a tram station. It doesn’t have to be within the Santa Maria Novella (SMN) area since the tram lines are generally small, so it really doesn’t take too long to get there.

I’ve read advice online that the SMN area is not too pleasant especially at night. Just read the reviews off Airbnb and see which ones are conveniently located near a tram station. Additionally, I also use the filters ‘Guest Favorite’ and ‘Superhost’ to have the safest options.

Just came back from Florence yesterday, we stayed in an Airbnb just over the river. Our Airbnb looked over the river so we were super close and only a 10 min walk to ponte vecchio but a minute walk to Ponte Amerigo Vespucci

Train station was only a 15 minute walk, so isn't too far and the area we stayed in was really nice and felt safe. Plus, it's a little away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Maria Novella area!
