- Bob Saget dead at 65: What do we know about his sudden death in Florida hotel?
- Mary-Kate Olsen's jaw-dropping makeover: lunch date reveals stunning transformation
Bob Saget passed away in January of 2022 but the cast of Full House, as well as many fans and other actors remember him as if he was still alive and that was the reason behind the social media post that John Stamos shared on Friday.
He shared a photo of when cast members from the hit series reunited for Saget's funeral, and that included a rare appearance by Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen. In the picture Stamos is joined by the Olsen sisters, Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Jodie Sweetin and Candace Cameron Bure, as well as Full House creator Jeff Franklin, as they posed around a Dumbo statue.
The caption was very emotional and had many fans, friends, and co-workers in tears because of the meaning of it.
"Happy Birthday Bob. This was taken as we gathered for his funeral. Though Bob wasn't there physically, his spirit was unmistakably present, wrapping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears," it said on Instagram. "That day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he nurtured among us."
He continued, "Bob was the heart of our Full House family. His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me, (on Dumbo) in the gentle ways we supported one another, echoing the love he always extended. We celebrated a life that was a true gift to us all."
But why was the picture a rare one with the Olsen twins in it?
Netflix aired from 2016 until 2020 a spin-of series about Full House named Fuller House and the Olsen sisters declined to participate as they have been laying low from the spotlight as of late.
While the sisters are living a more private life, John Stamos has been vocal about them not participating in reunions or meetings with the original cast, as he has said in the past that Bob Saget was "very instrumental" in making sure they all stayed in touch.
Something that has not happened very often recently but that could change in the future, as they all get along very well despite not seeing each other frequently.
