I can't open Microsoft store or any other windows apps such as sticky - Microsoft Community

I can't open Microsoft store or any other windows apps such as sticky notes, calculator, mail etc.

I have had my PC for about two years now and never had these problems. I have tried resetting my PC multiple times with no luck. I have tried doing Windows Key + R then wsreset.exe which then says that "The app didnt start." I have also tried installing Windows 10 itself again with no luck. I have also tried going to "Update & Security" in settings then checking for updates which says everything is up to date. I mainly use this PC for gaming but would love to have access to what I invested thousands of dollars into. Help is needed and is greatly appreciated!

Based on the details you've provided, it appears that you're encountering issues with the Microsoft Store and other built-in Windows apps not opening on your PC. To help resolve this issue, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Run the Windows Apps Troubleshooter:

    • Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot

    • Select "Windows Store Apps" and click "Run the troubleshooter"

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to allow the troubleshooter to detect and fix any issues.

  2. Reset the Microsoft Store app:

    • Open Settings > Apps > Apps & features

    • Find "Microsoft Store" in the list, click on it, and select "Advanced options"

    • Click the "Reset" button to reset the Store app.

  3. Re-register the Microsoft Store app:

    • Open PowerShell as an administrator (right-click Start and select "Windows PowerShell (Admin)")

    • Run the following command:

      Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

      This will re-register the Store app and its dependencies.

  4. Run the System File Checker (SFC) scan:

    • Open Command Prompt as an administrator

    • Run the command:

      sfc /scannow

      This will scan and repair any corrupted system files.

I'm sorry to hear that the previous methods didn't resolve your issue. Could you kindly provide a screenshot of the error message you encounter when executing the following command in PowerShell as an administrator:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Additionally, please attempt the following steps:

  1. Open PowerShell as an administrator.

  2. Execute the following command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

These steps should help in troubleshooting the issue further. Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
