Kenya Among African Countries Nick Cannon is Recruiting Comedians From

US celebrity and former America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon on Monday announced that he was recruiting new talent for his Wild 'n' Out show from Africa.

In a statement, Cannon explained that he had turned to the motherland countries in Africa, including Kenya, to join the show's 21st season which airs on VH1, a broadcaster based in the USA.

"Africa, are you ready? We bringing Wild 'n' out to the Motherland! I’m looking for the funniest and most talented people on the Continent; Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Botswana, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia, Somalia, Cape Town, and Johannesburg," he stated.

"What Country has the best comedians? We are about to find out! Tag them, comment, and repost! We are casting now."

Cannon launched the show on MTV in 2005 which quickly amassed a loyal following with viewership topping a million viewers per episode.

The show is a game-show style that incorporates sketch comedy and battle rap and has been on the air for 19 years. Its 20th season aired in 2023.

The premise of the show involves two teams being pitted against each other to improvise comedy or engage in a rap battle.

Cannon's journey in sketch comedy and on TV kicked off when he was aged 18 years and grew in the industry earning his first million dollars in a film in 2003, as per Forbes.

He later started his own show titled, The Nick Cannon Show before finding the Wild 'n' Out program, all of which is run by his production company, Ncredible.

Today, the 43-year-old show host has diversified his portfolio to include hosting jobs.

Forbes estimates that Cannon makes Ksh13 billion ($100 million) every year.

The American entertainer is a father of 11 children.
