The Rafale E-Tech 4×4 300 HP’s powertrain is an evolution of the E-Tech hybrid 200 HP, enhanced with an additional electric motor on the rear axle and a robust 22 kWh battery. This combination offers up to 100 km (62 miles) of all-electric range (WLTP*), managed seamlessly by E-Tech technology. The combustion engine, in conjunction with three electric motors and the battery, produces a total output of 300 HP. This setup achieves remarkable efficiency, with WLTP combined fuel consumption of 0.7 l/100 km (403.5 mpg) and 5.8 l/100 km (48.7 mpg) when the battery is depleted.
Advanced Hybrid Technology
Under the hood, the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine is turbocharged to deliver 110 kW (150 HP) and 230 Nm of torque. The powertrain includes three electric motors: a main motor on the front axle (50 kW/70 HP and 205 Nm), a second motor on the rear axle (100 kW/136 HP and 195 Nm), and a High-voltage Starter Generator (HSG) motor (25 kW/34 HP and 50 Nm). The 22 kWh/400V lithium-ion battery powers the main motors, while the HSG motor assists with starting the engine, managing gear changes, and charging the battery. The battery can be fully recharged in 2 hours and 10 minutes (0 to 80%) or 2 hours and 55 minutes (0 to 100%) with a maximum charging power of 7.4 kW (32A).
