WATCH: Attorney General Garland, FBI Director Wray give remarks on threats to November election

Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray held a news briefing Monday at the beginning of the Election Threats Task Force meeting.

The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET. Watch in the player above.

The task force was announced by Garland and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco in June 2021, according to a statement on the Department of Justice’s website.

“The task force has led the Department’s efforts to address threats of violence against election workers, and to ensure that all election workers — whether elected, appointed, or volunteer — are able to do their jobs free from threats and intimidation,” read the statement.
