Baby cardinals in yard

SOS Bird

There is a bush in my back yard that has a cardinal nest with 2 babies in it, I think both are fledgling (from my limited internet search’s) and I’m very worried for them. I know I’m NOT SUPPOSED to touch them but 3 times I’ve picked up one of them and put them back in nest. Both mom and dad cardinals are very active in the yard and I hear them chirping right now out my window so I know the babies aren’t alone. we have a very inquisitive dog who doesn’t know any better and will prolly attack the birds if he sees one of them on the ground, I have very carefully instructed my family to first look for any birds on the ground before letting the dog out. As I said I’m very worried for these little guys and need advise/help. I’m With best intentions sorry for grammar quick typing because worried.
