SO FAR, POLICE DO NOT HAVE ANY SUSPECT INFORMATION. WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO POLICE FOR UPDATES ON THIS CASE. POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR A PERSON OF INTEREST AFTER THEY SAY AN ARGUMENT LED TO A DEADLY SHOOTING AROUND 9:00 YESTERDAY MORNING. THEY FOUND 47 YEAR OLD ALVIN NEAL SHOT IN AN APARTMENT NEAR PROSPECT AND EAST 29TH STREET. DETECTIVES SAY WITNESSES HELPED THEM CONNECT THE DOTS. IT’S ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING TO SEE THAT SOMEBODY WHO CARES SO MUCH IS STILL SUFFERING FROM A LOSS. WE NEVER WANT THAT, BUT WE’RE SO THANKFUL THAT THAT THEY’RE WILLING TO REACH OUT AND COOPERATE WITH US SO THAT WE CAN DO OUR BEST TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAPPENED, WHY IT HAPPENED, HOW IT HAPPENED, AND THEN MAKE IT A SAFE PLACE FOR THEM THEM TO CONTINUE TO ENJOY LIVING. ABOUT SIX HOURS BEFORE THAT, POLICE FOUND A MAN SHOT AND KILLED INSIDE A CAR NEAR 12TH AND BENTON. A WITNESS TOLD OFFICER THEIR FRIEND ZACHARY TRIVETT HAD BEEN SHOT. While they were on their way, the call was upgraded to a shooting. People near the scene told officers the victim was in an apartment in the complex. They found Alvin Neal, 47, shot. KCPD was called to East 29th Street near Prospect before 9:00 a.m. on a reported sound of shots call. While they were on their way, the call was upgraded to a shooting.

People near the scene told officers the victim was in an apartment in the complex. They found Alvin Neal, 47, shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Officers say they believe an argument between the victim and someone else led to the shooting.
