Mark Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan shares glimpse of his life as a student at his 40th birthday celebration

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg turned 40 yesterday and his birthday celebrations involved truckloads of nostalgia. Now, we all know how Zuckerberg was just a college student when he founded Facebook. The movie, The Social Network, showcased Zuckerberg's journey and even inspired a lot of people to start something of their own. On the Meta CEO's 40th birthday, his wife, Priscilla Chan, had a nostalgic surprise in store for him as she recreated some places that Zuckerberg lived at during his early days.

In a post on Instagram, Zuckerberg revealed the same and shared a bunch of photos. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates can also be seen in one of the images, as he joined Zuckerberg and his family for the celebrations. In the post, shared as a carousel, there is a video towards the end that gives us glimpses of Zuckerberg's life as a student.

Sharing how his wife celebrated his 40th birthday, Zuckerberg wrote, "Grateful for my first 40 years! Priscilla threw me a little party and recreated a bunch of places I lived in the early days: (1) My childhood bedroom where I learnt to code (2) Harvard dorm where I launched Facebook (with special guest @thisisbillgates) (3) First apartment with just a mattress on the floor where I stayed until we reached 100 million people (4) Office lockdown where we worked day and night to fight off competitors (5) Pinocchio's Pizzeria where I basically lived in college (6) Showing my girls the room I grew up in (7) Grateful that people travelled from all around the world to celebrate with me (8) Some of my favourite people made a video. Here's to the next 40!"

The video also shows a photo where Zuckerberg can be seen in athletic attire. The Meta CEO is a jiu-jitsu champion and doesn't shy away from talking about his love for sports.

In June last year, during an episode of the Lex Fridman podcast, Zuckerberg had said that he and his friends train in jiu-jitsu together. He added that he went to a tournament of jiu-jitsu only after a friend of his convinced him to do so. He had said, "I got a ton of my friends into it. We all train together. We have a mini Academy in my garage. And one of my friends was like, "Hey, we should go do a tournament." "I was like, okay, yeah, let’s do it." I'm not gonna shy away from a challenge. I registered under my first and middle name, so Mark Elliot and it wasn’t until I actually like pulled all that stuff off right before I got on the mat that I think people knew it was me."
