Man Utd fans spot what Kambwala did on touchline

Willy Kambwala made his return from injury on Sunday after he came off the bench and replaced veteran defender Jonny Evans in the 75th minute.

The United player saw out the remainder of the Arsenal match, as Leandro Trossard’s first-half opener sealed all three points for the Gunners.

Before he was subbed onto the pitch, Kambwala was spotted on the Old Trafford touchline warming up in front of the Stretford End.

However, footage emerged from fans of the United youngster deciding to take a moment to share in the Old Trafford atmosphere with supporters.

Kambwala could be seen clapping and dancing along to a chant based around United legend George Best before resuming his warm-up routine.

United fans shared the footage of Kambwala on different social media platforms, including TikTok and X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ten Hag thrilled with Kambwala’s development

Ten Hag spoke openly about Kambwala’s impressive development at United last month after the defender’s performance against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

“[Kambwala] has been training a while with us and progressing well,” he told BBC Sport at the time, as per the Evening Standard.

“The next generation need to step in and he is doing brilliant. The challenge for him is doing it consistently.

“Great opportunity for him. We have other options, like bringing Casemiro in at centre-half, but today he deserved it and he showed it on the pitch.”
