How Patrick Cutrone is playing in Serie B

Serie B

For some time Patrick Cutrone was one of the best Italians prospects, but now he is in Serie B with Como. He also played for Italy NT.

Can someone explain how this happen. Did he had a big downfall or Como is paying him really well

It's his hometown club, he had been struggling first in the PL, then at Fiorentina and finally even at Empoli, so Serie B was the next natural step.

He also had personal issues, his father died and he was really tight with him. Coming back home seems to have helped him a lot mentally, he's been playing great in Serie B and was fundamental for Comos promotion.

I have little doubt he's gonna stay at Como and play a big role in the upcoming Serie A campaign. Sometimes taking a step down in your career is the best choice.

He was Comos mvp and top goal scorer this season. Redemption

Predictable. He's not world class but he's a mid table serie a quality player playing in serie b. He was always going to be their top performer

Because he's average?

Alberto Paloschi was at one point touted as a potential top striker, and look how his career turned out.

Cutrone had a decent season as emergency striker in one of those awful Milan teams where nobody seemed to be able to hit a barn door.

Then when he was expected to establish himself at the same level, he flopped horrendously and then stunk everywhere he went.

One decent Serie B season at 26 isn't all that.

Saw that he is playing in Serie D and even there is can't seem to score.

His move to Wolverhampton has been terrible and he got loaned to Fiorentina, Valencia and Empoli where he didn't do much. He scored only 11 goals for these 4 teams in 3 seasons.

Un rendimento abbastanza pietoso in realtà

Geez that's worse than Pinamonti

It's his hometown club and they have money.

Because it’s good for serie B pitches, or at least serie A relegation area, for other kind of teams it’s a good “pippa al sugo”. His carreer talk for him, he had a good season just with Milan on 2017/18 (where the average team quality was very low), after that where he’s gone didn’t do anything of good.

Cazzo me ne frega tanto tifo il Calcio Como !

Because he is good only in Serie B terms. Nothing more. Just an average striker that had the opportunity to become a top striker after a decent/good season in an abysmal Milan side and that afterwards did terribly everywhere he went

That's his dimension
