Northern Lights from Harrow
The colourful aurora (northern lights) were visible from Harrow in the brightest ever display in London –the images were taken from the School's Rayleigh Observatory.
Dr Chris Crowe, Head of Astronomy, said: “The Rayleigh Observatory's photographs beautifully document the extraordinary appearance of the northern lights over London, showcasing the vibrant auroras that occur when charged particles from the sun interact with Earth's magnetic field.”
