Q&A
As long as Julie Bowen and Ben Stiller are in it I'll be happy.
And a dedication of some kind for Grandma.
Don't forget Chubbs
And Bob Barker
And Norm and Chris
And Richard Kiel
Drew Carey this time
And Harambe
I hope his wooden hand makes an appearance!!
Or the Mista Mista Lady
Mista, mista! GET ME OUTTA HEREEE!
Stop fraternizing with the help, Gilmore
We can have Rob Schneider play the grandma.
No thanks
Fuck Rib Schneider
“Oh, well, now your back's gonna hurt, 'cause you just pulled landscaping duty. Anybody else's fingers hurt?... I didn't think so…”
You can trouble me for a warm glass of SHUT THE HELL UP!
Now, you will go to sleep ! Or I will put you to sleep!
You're in my world now, Grandma!
“Heeeey what a tremendous looking trophy”
Shooter is a must also
Shooter, Virginia, Mr. Larson, and the orderly (Ben Stiller) are my only requests for 2nd appearances. Maybe the Zamboni driver, but I wouldn’t be devastated if he was left out.
Don’t forget Shooter McGavin.
Julie Bowen in the dream sequence lingerie.
Whose the oldest actress Adam has acted with? Aniston?
Probably Julie Bowen when they did Hubie Halloween.
Um, Christopher Macdonald please? Allen Covert?!
It’s actually starring Matt Damon and Pete Davidson
Wouldn’t be Happy without Allen Covert
Please bring back Shooter
He’s gotta come back, right ? The actor absolutely loved the role and talks about it with a lot of love any chance he gets.
Christopher McDonald told an interviewer that Sandler showed him the first draft of the script so I’m guessing he’s in it
Edit: name change
The guy from Mad TV?
My bad, it’s Christopher McDonald
He’s been eating a lot of shit for breakfast since then.
He already said he was in
The only thing I want from this sequel is Shooter.
I watch pieces of shit like this on Netflix for dinner, so it’s all good.
*Breakfast
You eat little pieces of shit for *breakfast?
..... no! ... walks away
Got ‘em
Haha yea walked right into that one
Billy Madison 2; he's like 30 years into a teaching career and meets a little dipshit and tries to relate with him and meet his full potential, and the kid doesn't understand why this goofy old man keeps trying to befriend a child.
Send them an e-mail and they might actually develop it. That sounds like a great premise!
"This is Netflix. You're Green Lighted."
Unless it's a series, then it's cancelled after season 1
Nah. Just call it "Billie Madison" and make it about his daughter. Same plot and everything.
Rated PG-13
Billy Madison-Big Daddy mashup
Cautiously optimistic, but I am sure this will be a stinker.
Happy Gilmore accomplished that feat no more than 28 years ago.
(/s, I loved that movie)
Well, good for Happy GilmOHMYGOD
Wonder who they’re gonna get for the role of menacing giant this time
Great khali? He was in sandler’s football jail film
RIP Mr. Larson
Oh you can count, good for you.
and YOU can count, on ME, waiting for you in the parking lot!
"He got a few lucky punches in, but I still feel I won the fight."
-thumbs up in a body cast-
It’s gonna be terrible and I’m so excited
This has stinker written all over it and I consider the original to be one of the best comedies of all time. Really wish they'd leave this classic alone.
Sadly a lot of Sandler’s Netflix projects are just loose excuses to get his friends a paycheck.
I mean, good on him for spreading the wealth, but as a viewer they don’t offer anything. Just Sandler and his friends goofing around on camera with a loose plot of some sort.
I agree with this take, but as far as Netflix movies go, that still ends up being a solid 6-7/10.
100% you just described the Grown Ups movies.
" I can't wait to see David Spade's face when he finds out there won't BE a Grown-ups 3!!"
Hmmm I did enjoy Hustle. Didn’t go in expecting much, but thought it was good. I do like those underdog sport movies.
I mean, I actually ain’t mad at that being the case most of the time.
JUST STAY IN YOUR HOLE!
Coming to America 2 made me hate Hollywood. One of my favorite movies just absolutely trashed with the writing for the sequel.
It’s just a hard one to call. Part of me sees him nailing it but the other part is like god this could go horribly.
He's leaned too hard into the Adam Sandler jibbrish act over the years. Billy Madison and Happy Gimore worked because we didn't get an Adam Sandler movie every year.
Almost everyone in the movie is dead now. RIP to everyone of course. But how will this work at all.
He takes on the role of Chubbs trying to help out some poor bastard with natural talent but poor life decisions.
Edit: or Major league Vaughn style where he’s gotten old in his career and less intense and suffered for it, so he needs to reconnect with his inner wild thing.
Or it’s randomly a shot for shot remake of mighty ducks but with golf.
Now you’re making me cast the newbie that he trains…
The few I can come up with are:
(these are NOT in order of preference)
Pete Davidson
Nick Mohamed
Beanie Feldstein
Owen Vaccaro
Joe Keery
Geraldine Viswanathan
Or literally ANYONE but Adam Devine. Dear god. Please. Anyone.
Or maybe the nursing home is up for auction and has to do even more tournaments to buy it against Ben Stiller, who trains with Shooter to beat Happy. In the end, Happy wins and revitalizes the Home and make the residents' lives worthwhile again.
Same. I was pleasantly surprised with hubie halloween. That humor isn’t for everyone but I’m a big fan.
Is Earnest Scared Stupid also on your October watch list?
I actually think the original has a premise that lends itself to a plausible story in a sequel. Golf is something 100% that old happy can still be involved in.
Yeah I learned my lesson after Zoolander 2 and Anchorman 2
Zoolander 2 just annoyed me. Think of the good they could have done in the world with the money but instead made Zoolander 2. They literally could have set the money on fire and did a live stream and made more money.
It will be awful lol
I think this time he should be the old teacher with the missing hand.
Actually you’re realistically pessimistic.
It'll probably suck but it's Adam Sandler, he's hilarious
This is going to suck so bad and I’ll watch it for sure
We're really in an age where nothing is just allowed to die
