A Beaumont Independent School District bus was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Tuesday afternoon. 

Around 2:55 p.m. Beaumont ISD bus 1814, was involved in a traffic crash on Fannett Road shortly after leaving Beaumont United High School, according to BISD spokesperson Jackie Simien.

A truck hit the BISD bus and left the scene. The BISD Police Department is currently assessing the situation, Simien said.

Simien said no injuries have been reported among the students and staff on the bus.
