Boots Randolph – Hit Boots (LP Monument – SLP 18144, 1970).
Producer : Fred Foster.
Genre : Instrumental, Easy Listening, Pop, Jazz.

“ Hit Boots ” is the fifteenth album by saxophonist Boots Randolph , recorded at Columbia Recording studios in Nashville/USA and released on the Monument label in 1970. It is an excellent album with the “sax man” playing hits from the 60s and 70. The LP peaked at #157 on the US charts. Boots was the musician who brought us the main theme of the Benny Hill television series, "Yakety Sax". From the LP we highlight the tracks “Proud Mary”, “Those Were the Days” or “Aquarius-Let the Sunshine In”.
Homer Louis Randolph III (Paducah/Kentucky, June 3, 1927 / Nashville/Tennessee, July 3, 2007), was a saxophonist who recorded many international hits from the late 1950s onwards and had his greatest success in 1963 with "Yakety Sax", inspired by The Coasters' 1958 hit, "Yakety Yak". In addition to his solo work, Boots was an accomplished musician, playing a key role on numerous recordings, including Elvis Presley's "Return To Sender" or Roy Orbison's "Oh, Pretty Woman."
