Holly Dunn's MTM and Warner catalog finally available again digitally

Yes indeed, I looked up Holly Dunn on YouTube, etc. and noticed that as of 2 months ago, Warner has uploaded the entire album catalog of Holly's from MTM and Warner. Holly did take her MTM master tapes and the rights to them to Warner back in the late 1980s-early 1990s when she signed with Warner. All of her Top 10 hits throughout her career, except for "That's What Your Love Does To Me" were compiled on the "Milestones - Greatest Hits" compilation in 1991. The catalog on MTM that had been issued on CD had long been rare and weren't in print very long and Holly's MTM catalog was issued on CD back when they originally came out. There should be a more comprehensive Holly Dunn compilation being reissued some time.

 

The rest of the MTM label catalog for artists other than Holly are owned by Sony.

You should license these for CD as the CDs of the MTM era are not very common.

 

I’ve thought about Milestones for first time on vinyl, with the additional hit that was on the 2 CD promo/interview version. Taking a wait and see approach to gauge how much reaction there is to the digital backfill before pursuing and committing to an expensive license.

Also, Two Too Many was her first Top 40 hit and they did include that in the interview/promo version and also include That's What Your Love Does To Me on the Milestones vinyl if the digital issues are going well.

 

We also delivered her rare self-released Gospel album, Full Circle, separately from Warner.

BTW, the female vocalist that is heard in the background of songs such as Only When I Love is Beth Nielsen Chapman, another talented singer-songwriter in the Nashville music world and had some Adult Contemporary success on Reprise/Warner Nashville just a couple of years after Only When I Love came out.

There are songs with even more misogynistic content that chart the country charts right now but these feminists thought that Maybe I Mean Yes back in 1991 encouraged date rape. The song is on Milestones and here's the video for the song.

This is her entire catalog. The best Greatest Hits package is Milestones, BTW. The standalone Daddy's Hands title is a re-recorded version. The original version is on the self-titled album and on Milestones which uses the original MTM and Warner recordings of most of her hits.
