Is Warriors Reunion Kevin Durant's 'Only Hope' For One More Ring?

Kevin Durant had a lot of success with the Golden State Warriors, and some think he could do so again.

The Golden State Warriors had a disappointing end to their season when they lost to the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Play-In Tournament. As a result, some think that the team will make a big move this offseason.

One of the players whose name has been mentioned often is former Warrior Kevin Durant. And in a recent episode of "Willard and Dibs", Mark Willard says that he thinks it would be in the 14 time All-Star's best interests to return to Golden State.

"You have almost no time left. With the young talent in the NBA, everyone will doubt adding KD will be enough anyway," Willard said. "I can look at the Warriors and KD and do the Princess Leia. You’re each other’s only hope."

This past season with the Phoenix Suns, Durant averaged 27 points, six rebounds, and five assists. He also did all of this scoring on some of the best shooting percentages of his long career.

Despite his success, he was not able to lead the Suns past the first round of the playoffs. As a result, many have said that he cannot be the best player on a championship team.

But in the past, we have seen KD enjoy great success with Stephen Curry and the Warriors. So if the team wants to make one more run at the title with their current group, bringing back Durant could be in their best interests.
