Fans are hailing it 'the best drama series of all time'

Now, there's been a whole bunch of new releases across all the streaming platforms as of recent, but it's clear there are still heaps of cracking shows from years back we've yet to sink our teeth into.

ITV viewers are completely obsessed with the 'absolutely brilliant' Irish crime drama you can rattle through after watching Kin.

The TV programme in question, which hit our screens over a decade back in 2010, boasts a star-studded cast including Happy Valley's Charlie Murphy, Avengers' Tom Vaughan Lawlor, Misfits icon Robert Sheehan, Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen, Oscar-nominee Ruth Negga and a baby-faced Barry Keoghan.

The show, which originally aired on RTÉ between 2010 to 2014, spanned five drama-filled seasons.

It follows the character of Darren Treacy (Sheehan) who returns to Dublin in order to lead a peaceful life, away from the world of crime and drugs.

However, his brother's sudden death forces him to be a part of the mafia and seek revenge leading to a whole bunch of unfortunate events.

And it's clear that even after all these years, fans still can't get enough, especially now that all 28 episodes are available to watch for free on ITV as of earlier this year.

The series in question is none other than Love/Hate. Check out the official trailer here:

Viewers have rushed to social media to share their elation after 'only just discovering' the cracking crime series with one X, formerly Twitter, user writing: "What a fantastic series! Only just discovered it – absolutely brilliant all ways round! Best thing I’ve watched in recent times since Peaky Blinders and Top Boy!"

"If you’ve never seen the Irish drama series Love/Hate then watch it – absolutely brilliant! Like Peaky B meets Top Boy meets The Wire meets Breaking Bad and then some… on ITVX and BritBox – a proper binge watch!" urged a second.

A third penned: "How has it taken me this long to watch Love/Hate???"

"Make sure you check out Love/Hate if you haven’t already. Aiden Gillen again is superb in this as well as Robert Sheehan and a young Barry Keoghan," gushed a fourth.

Another piped up: "Can’t believe it took me this long to watch Love/Hate, what a show."

And a final Twitter user declared Love/Hate 'the best drama series of all time'.

Well, I know what I'll be watching this week.

Love/Hate is currently available to stream on ITV.
