'Virgin River's Martin Henderson Gives Season 6 Update - Parade Skip to main content

Martin Henderson is teasing Virgin River fans with some new insight about the upcoming season.

The actor, 49, got fans of the hit Netflix series all hyped up this week while sharing a photo of himself in the studio as they put the finishing touches on Season 6.

"Back in the studio making all things Virgin River," he wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday, May 15. "Just spiffy."

In the snapshot, Henderson appeared to be wearing a pair of headphones as he stood in front of a microphone to presumably finish any last-minute additional dialogue recordings.

"We are close to wrapping up Season 6," he told his followers while a screen with him and co-star Alexandra Breckenridge appeared in the background.

The post—set to the tune of Bill Withers' "Lovely Day"—also gave fans some insight about what to expect in Season 6, as Henderson further teased, "What a ride this one has been. Excited for everyone to see it."

This is getting me sooooo excited!" one enthusiastic fan wrote in the comments, adding, "Thank you for sharing Martin! ❤️❤️❤️."

Someone else predicted that the show's upcoming season is "gonna be FIRE 🔥🔥🔥."

Henderson's tidbit of inside info comes after showrunner Patrick Sean Smith promised fans that "there will be some answers" to previous cliffhangers from Season 5 early on in the new season.

"I would say in general I don’t want subsequent seasons to be as heavy as Season 5, but I still want them to be meaningful and emotional," he added.

Netflix has not yet announced an official release date for Season 6 just yet, but we know that Virgin River was not included in its list of shows returning in 2024, meaning fans can likely expect new episodes sometime in 2025.
