AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Impressionists Immersive Exhibition is coming to Arts in the Sunset on Thursday and will run until July 17th.

According to officials with the Amarillo Art Institute, the exhibit has just arrived in the United States after two years of touring in Europe and is arriving in Amarillo after its first display in the U.S. in Boise, Idaho.

Officials added that Impressionists is the first immersive exhibition to cover a whole artistic movement rather than a single artist. It illustrates and brings to life the revolutionary impressionist movement, the most important pictorial change since the Renaissance. The exhibit covers paintings by artists like Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Morisot, Manet, Degas, Pissarro, Gauguin, Cezanne, and Toulouse-Lautrec.

The exhibit will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., with the last entry at 6:00 p.m. On Sundays, the exhibit will be open from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., with the last entry at 4:00 p.m. Tickets range from $15-$25 based on age.

Proceeds from the exhibit go to the Amarillo Art Institute and its art programs.

Tickets are on sale now and can be bought on the Arts in the Sunset’s website.
