<p>In Loving Memory of Krikor Kalenjian</p><p>(March 13, 1938 – May 12, 2024)</p><p>Krikor "Chris" Kalenjian, a long-time resident of Mt. Prospect, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024. His life was filled with remarkable moments, unwavering love, and cherished memories. Krikor worked as a heavy equipment mechanic as a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers, leaving a lasting impact on those he served.</p><p>Born in Aleppo, Syria, on March 13, 1938, Krikor immigrated to the United States in 1972. He embraced his new home, contributing to his community and building a life surrounded by family and friends.</p><p>Krikor is survived by his loving wife, Zarouhi, and their four children, Keghani (Sooren) Sarkisian; Yeprem (Katie) Kalenjian; Arpe (John) Ryan and Silva (Mike) Padowski. He also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren, Avedis, Ardem, and Nairee Sarkisian; Abigail, Madelyn, and Savannah Kalenjian; Zaven Ryan and Jonathan and Alex Padowski.</p><p>Krikor’s sisters, Anahid (the late Hampartzoum) Torian and Aghavni (Sarkis) Gumushian, along with his many neices and nephews mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his sister, Hripsime Kalenjian.</p><p>Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Saturday, May 18, starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Armenian All Saints Church, 1701 Greenwood Road, Glenview, IL 60026. Krikor will be laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery.</p><p>May Krikor’s memory be eternal. Rest in peace. 🌹</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
