NYC and San Francisco Inflation Jump to Year High as US Cools

Inflation rose to the highest level in a year or more in four major US metropolitan areas in April, even as prices moderated nationally.
The annual rate reached 4.1% in Philadelphia, 4% in St. Louis and 3.8% in both New York and San Francisco — all above the US average — according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Wednesday.
