Olly Murs has left his fans 'sobbing' over his reaction to his wife's sweet tribute as he turned 40. The singer was marking the milestone occasion on Tuesday (May 14) and spent the first part of his day being spoilt by his wife Amelia and their baby daughter.

Olly became a first-time dad this month when he and Amelia welcomed their first child, daughter Madison. The couple, who tied the knot last year, had announced back in December that they were expecting their first baby in a sweet social media post.

In it, Olly could be seen standing open-mouthed as he held a baby scan, whilst pointing at his wife's bump. Posting the photo to his 4.6 million Instagram followers, the caption read: "Baby Murs due 2024."

Then, confirming their little one's arrival on April 17, Olly shared a sweet snap to Instagram in which he and Amelia could be seen leaving the hospital. With their backs to the camera in matching gear, Olly could be seen holding Amelia's hand while holding the car seat containing their precious cargo in the other.

Olly and Amelia have since been sharing some updates with fans on Madison, known as Madi for short, and her progress with both Amelia and the newborn seemingly doing some travelling with Olly as he tours the country with Take That on their mammoth 'This Life' tour.

And while he'll be doing what he does best on stage in Birmingham to cap off his big birthday, Olly's day got off to a great start as Amelia decorated their temporary apartment with pictures of Olly on buntin before scattering more poloraid-style snaps across the dining table and even getting table mats made with their faces on.

The former X Factor star shared a glimpse at the set-up, that also included balloons and an array of gifts with some designer brands spotted included Louis Vitton before he tucked into a breakfast wrap. He also beamed as he posed amongst his card from his parents and his sister before cuddling up to his baby girl who was wearing an adorable baby grow which said: "Happy 40th Birthday Daddy."

Sharing the snaps of himself and Madison to Instagram, the Essex star said: "The only gift I wanted for my 40th was to be daddy and here you are xx love you Madi." Amelia was quick to respond, writing: "And what a lucky little baby she is to have you as her Daddy. Happy birthday gorgeous, we love you sooo much."

"You’re the most incredible human and I am so lucky that I get to share life with you, and now our little Madi. Here’s to the next 40 years and forever! I love you SO much." Olly was quick to write back: "Nah im the lucky one trust me… Never been happier."
