On May 11, 2024, Swedish Crown Princess Victoria was in Malmö as a guest at the final of the 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. 50 years after ABBA's win in Brighton and the year after Loreen's historic second competition win in Liverpool, Sweden's Television was once again the organizer of the Eurovision Song Contest, the world's largest music competition. This year's edition took place in Malmö arena in Hyllie in Malmö.
The TV program began with a film involving an opening speech given by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. The film was shot in Gustav III’s Antikmuseum at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Switzerland won the 68th Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'The Code' performed by Nemo.

Fantastic that she attended! The second semi-final on Thursday was a truly great show. The singalong, the musical: amazing, and funny! The final was under a lot of tension and with a lot less humour. I love Petra Mede, she should present the show every year!
ReplyDeleteVictoria was appropriately dressed. I loved her outfit in the video, although a swishy skirt would have also looked nice. But I guess she was in function, therefore a more official outfit was chosen.

I guess it was a visit with a bitter aftertaste after everything that has happened in Eurovision this year. Will be clean up on aisle 5 in EBU. Like both outfits. Should wish she had a more relaxed hairstyle with the black. It was a party after all.

ReplyDeleteVictoria looks so good in the still shots from the video in the light suit. My only minor quibble is that her earrings remind me ever so slightly of a craft project with those pointy metal pieces sticking out (much like I feel about Duchess of Edinburgh’s wedding necklace). But overall, just lovely.

Belles tenues mais le costume blanc a ma préférence surtout au niveau de la coupe parfaite ; je ne suis pas tellement fan de bijoux modernes mais là, je fais une exception en voyant les boucles d'oreilles dont un petit morceau se retrouve judicieusement en médaillon ; j'aimerais connaître le nom de leur créateur ?!
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks chic in her black trouser suit--great evening attire that perfect for the event. She also looks marvelous in the beige trouser suit--the styling the excellent and it fits her beautifully. I think she often looks her best in simple, rather spare styles as opposed to some of the floral, ruffled frou-frou dresses she seems to love. I also like the side part with her bun in the photos showing her in the beige suit--much softer and much more flattering.

DeleteCP Victoria wore her prairie (floral) dresses during a couple of Summers. I hope she gave them away for recycling or for the poor people. I must say she is wearing more plain fabrics lately. I hope when it will be warmer, she will not repeat the prairie dresses again.
