I’ve ran across several in recent months, especially for powder and primers, more than in the past 10 years combined. Several sites for powder valley, all but the original are 100% scam sites, as well as reloading depot USA. The copy sites for powder valley have even stollen the real websites logo, and mirrored their site map.
2 major patterns I’ve seen with scam sites that makes it easier to see them.
1. If the store has pretty much everything in stock, it’s a scam. Even without massive shortages no place ever has 90% or more of their products fully stocked, it just doesn’t happen.
2. Prices for stock all on sale, if your cart looks like it’s been discounted 30%-50%, check a few other things you know the normal price of. If they’re discounted too it’s probably a scam, also take a look at the check out page. Scam pages almost always only take e transfers like Venmo, PayPal friends and family, or even crypto, but won’t take credit cards, it’s a scam.
