The UPR Working Group of the United Nations Human Rights Council adopts Vietnam's UPR Cycle IV National Report

Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet affirmed that Vietnam will carefully study the recommendations and announce Vietnam's stance on these recommendations before the 57th session of the Human Rights Council.

Established by the United Nations Human Rights Council in 2008 and conducted every 4,5 years, the UPR is an intergovernmental mechanism with the task of comprehensively reviewing the human rights situation in all member countries. member of the United Nations, on the principles of dialogue, cooperation, equality, objectivity, transparency and construction.

The 46th session of the Working Group on UPR of the United Nations Human Rights Council takes place from April 29 to May 4, 10, with 5 United Nations member states, including Vietnam.

The participating Vietnamese delegation included representatives from 11 ministries, branches and agencies who had direct dialogue with countries on issues of concern in this field.
