Coach Sam Pittman Coming to Texarkana for One Razorback Roadshow

Get ready Arkansas fans the ONE Razorback Roadshow is coming to Texarkana this Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The four-day bus tour kicked off in Jonesboro, Arkansas on Monday, May 13, and will visit several more cities before arriving in Texarkana on Thursday, May 16, at Pop's Place for a luncheon event at 11:30 AM where Arkansas Razorback fans can call the hogs. The ONE Razorback Roadshow is presented by First Security Bank features Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek and members of Razorback Athletics, including coaches, spirit squads, and band members along with Big Red, the University of Arkansas mascot.

Head Football Coach Sam Pittman

The Texarkana Stop will feature Arkansas Head Football Coach Sam Pittman, according to the Texarkana Gazette. At each stop, Coach Pittman will be raising money for his team's Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) campaign. Coach Pitt is also expected to talk about the excitement surrounding Spring football and the upcoming football season.

"I'm going be out in May trying to talk to the state of Arkansas about why we need the money and how it would benefit us, how it will benefit our kids, the state, and our record," Pittman said.

The roadshow tour is geared toward connecting Arkansas fans all across the state while interacting with fans of all ages.

The tour will also feature various trophies on display from the various sports the Razorbacks won over the past year.

New This Year

During each stop this year, an official Razorback Road sign will be presented to community leaders for the opportunity to name one of the streets in the city, Razorback Road to help celebrate the pride, passion, and support of the Razorbacks throughout the state.

The Emcees

The public announcer Jon Williams for Razorback Women's Basketball and Baseball along with Matt Zimmerman, the color analyst for Razorback Men's Basketball radio broadcasts and co-host of the Razorback Daly podcast will be the emcees for the event.

Thursday, May 16: Lunch event – Texarkana (Pop’s Place) Doors for lunch events will open at 11:30 a.m. with a program beginning at noon.
