Torque Teams up with The Prince’s Trust for the Second Time.

We’ve teamed up with The Prince’s Trust for a second year to deliver the ‘Get into Supply Chain’ programme. With eight sites across seven UK locations and an ever-expanding customer portfolio, finding talent in our local communities is always a priority.

We understand the importance of our business building strong relationships and going the extra mile for its people—for our customers, team, and communities alike. It’s what makes us, us. The ‘Get into Supply Chain’ program allows Torque and its customers the opportunity to do just that and champion young people in a meaningful way, helping them build their confidence and skillsets and, importantly, providing employment.

Prince's Trust course recruits

In March, we welcomed 22 enthusiastic participants to our Leeds and Bradford sites to begin their placement on our Bluebella and Weird Fish contracts. We were supported throughout the process by our wonderful customers, who leapt at the opportunity to be a part of this special venture. Eighteen individuals completed the programme and were offered full-time employment with Team Torque, and we have been truly impressed with the dedication and hard work exhibited over that period. We hope this will be the beginning of a long and rewarding supply chain career.

“As a company with diversity and inclusion at its heart, Bluebella was delighted to support Torque and give young people an opportunity to gain such valuable work experience. We wish all of those now starting their career journey at Torque the best for the future.”

Sarah Thornley, COO. Bluebella

We spoke to some of our newest recruits to get the lowdown on their experience:

This placement has helped me gain more knowledge and experience, but it’s also made me motivated, proactive, and more sociable, rather than sitting at home. I love that Torque is local, multicultural, helpful, and pays me weekly!  Liam

Everyone in the programme has been super helpful at every stage. It really means a lot to be a part of this as I struggled to find a job. I like how much the company gets involved with the workers. Kyle

The placement has helped me boost my confidence. I love everything about Torque, especially socialising with other people. Asnath
