Concord Theatricals Recordings will release the 2023 Off-Broadway cast recording of Classic Stage Company’s production of I Can Get It for You Wholesale, winner of the 2024 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.

The album—starring Tony winner Santino Fontana, Rebecca Naomi Jones, Tony nominee and 2024 Outer Critics Circle winner Judy Kuhn, Tony nominee Julia Lester, Joy Woods, and more—will be released this fall on a date to be announced.

Sean Patrick Flahaven, chief theatricals executive for Concord, will produce the recording with Olivier nominee David Chase. Harold Rome's score for the revival was adapted and arranged by Chase, with music direction and orchestrations by Jacinth Greywoode.

The 1962 musical I Can Get It for You Wholesale features a book (based on his own novel) by Jerome Weidman, reimagined for CSC by his son, John Weidman. Trip Cullman directed.

“We’re very happy to bring this new version of Wholesale to wider audiences,” said Flahaven in a statement. “John, David, Jacinth, and Trip have deftly streamlined the classic original to make it even more compelling to today’s audiences, and the cast and band are first-rate. The show grapples with capitalism and antisemitism while also providing sweet and funny songs.”

"The production at CSC exceeded our ambitions for the reimagining of this show,” added John Weidman. “It was a thrilling process and a thrilling outcome—captured by an extraordinary group of performers on this cast album, brilliantly delivering Harold Rome’s remarkable, underappreciated score.”

The Classic Stage Company revival played October 10-December 17, 2023. The cast also included Adam Chanler-Berat, Eddie Cooper, Victor de Paula Rocha, Adam Grupper, Darron Hayes, Greg Hildreth, Hayley Podschun, Sarah Steele, Joy Woods, Ephie Aardema, Jennifer Babiak, Billy Cohen, and John Plumpis.

I Can Get It for You Wholesale is set in 1937 in New York City's Garment District and follows Bronx-born shipping clerk Harry Bogen (Fontana), who must choose between the comfort of community and his own ambitious dreams.

The CSC production also had scenic design by Mark Wendland, costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, lighting design by Adam Honoré, sound design by Sun Hee Kil, choreography by Ellenore Scott, a score arranged and adapted by David Chase, and music direction and orchestrations by Jacinth Greywoode.

Bess Marie Glorioso served as the production stage manager, and Luner Eclipse Productions served as production manager.
