The Band was a Canadian-American rock group formed in Toronto, Ontario, in 1967. Originally the backing band for Ronnie Hawkins and later Bob Dylan, the group released its debut album, Music from Big Pink, in 1968 to critical acclaim. Described by music critic Bruce Eder as "one of the most popular and influential rock groups in the world, their music embraced by critics ... as seriously as the music of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones".

The Last Waltz (VHS) on a 1983 Eaton Viking TV. A fun set up and a hell of a film!

Funny to be able to watch it how some may have watched it back in the day... one of the best rock music films ever and never gets old!! Black and white w' the grainyness adds a nice touch (Not nearly as grainy as the pictures make it seem) 🤟📺

Very very important question here: is there a horn section that you can hear on the VHS soundtrack during the first song on the film (last one of the concert), Don't Do It? Please this has been bugging me for decades!

I'll get back to you! I watched half last night and will have to rewind tonight when I'm done
