Life goes on and so do we
Just how we do it is no mystery
One by one, we fill the days.
We find a thousand different ways
Sometimes, the answer can be hard to find
Unlike their show.
Is that Joe Isuzu?!!
Richard leisure
David Leisure. Richard Mulligan was the main character
I feel like his character was the inspiration for Quagmire from Family Fuy.
Him too
No, his name is not Richard Leisure, it's David
Yes. He and David Mulligan were great. Lol
Kristy mcdime was also really solid
Yes it is!!
Yes, it is.
Beep beep hiiii
And Bert from SOAP.
This was a spinoff from Golden Girls. Harry was their neighbor and Dreyfuss the dog brought his puppies over to visit Rose once. Then "Nurses" was a spinoff of Empty Nest when they followed Harry's daughter as a...you guessed it...nurse.
LOL I just watched a Rifftrax of a 90s TV movie where Rue McClanahan and Kristy MacNichol played mother and daughter.
The show was pretty damn funny too, don't forget when they spun off Golden Girls into "The Golden Towers" with Don Cheadle.
Golden Palace
Ahh! I wasn't sure on the title, thanks for the correct info.
I thought Nurses followed Park Overall. His one daughter was a cop and I don’t remember what Dinah Manoff’s character’s occupation was.
Loved this show as a kid. But I could not tell you much of anything about it lol
I just remember the neighbor.
Are you an Aussie?
There was this weird thing were you would come home as a kid and while the really kiddie stuff ended before the big kid cartoons (usually Klasky Csupo stuff) came on - there was time enough for a weird rerun sitcom episode that left me having seen and enjoyed every episode of this and Perfect Strangers.
The dad was a doctor...I think. I'm in the same boat.
I was just thinking the same thing. There was one episode set at the hospital where there's a very sick child with a mysterious condition. Listen's to the kids sob story about how the kid had an argument with his parents and was sent to bed without supper. Then the big break comes when he realizes the kid snuck down to eat his cold fishsticks out of a trashcan, and the mystery illness is botulism.
Unless I'm thinking of another very similar sitcom.
I used to watch this on Saturday nights and because I was born in 1980 I never realized Kristy McNichol was such a big star. I knew Dinah Manoff because of “Grease” but “Family” wasn’t in reruns and my parents would never let me watch “Little Darlings.”
Watched it on LAFF TV back in 2016/2017; it's a good and underrated show!
I don’t remember anything specific about this show, but the fact that it existed crosses my mind regularly.
I wanted to grow up and marry Park Overall
Newport, Tennessee’s finest!
They make them long-legged and fiery there!
I only remember the episode where the older cop daughter got shot in the ass.
I had my daughter in 2017 this was the show playing on a channel in the hospital. I downloaded the entire series and me and my wife watched it together, it was a great show.
We did that with Cheers. So fun to end the day with great sitcoms.
Sure was NEET
Is that the real Burt or the alien Burt?
Where is he? Isn’t Burt invisible?
Soap just got added to Tubi recently and I’ve been binge watching the shit out of it.
Somehow I remember learning the word "botulism" from this show.
Thank you, Empty Nest.
Kristy McNichol! I thought she was the coolest when I was young. I was so happy to see her on this show. I stopped watching it after she left.
I have such fond memories of watching this show
Oh no, NOT David Leisure!
Was Leslie Nielsen on this show, or did my child mind make that up?
Leslie Nielsen ended up being Dorothy’s husband on Golden Girls
He wasn't, but I always got these two actors mixed up!
Holy crap. I totally forgot about this one
Hey, hey, hey!!! That’s why we’re here!
I would love to have a neighbor like David Leisure
I loved the dog!!!
Dreyfus 😍
Joe Isuzu!
I don’t understand how this was a spin-off of the Golden Girls, ran for 7 seasons, starred Richard Mulligan, and has still never gotten even a single DVD release.
Joe Isuzu!
This show aired on NBC. The one on the bottom left looks like Roz and top right Daphne from Frasier. The network certainly had a type.
Kristy McNichol and Park Overall? They were pretty successful actors. From Mississipi Burning to Grease, they have some feathers in their caps for sure.
I believe you. This show aired right before my personal golden era of comedy the 90s, but I’m not really familiar with either. My point was more about how a lot of similar looking actresses were on TV shows around this era.

Loved this show as a kid
I used to watch this show every week.
It seemed like it was always on and I always changed the channel
This is the one that I've been waiting for... 170 or so episodes but it's invisible. No streaming. Insane.
Loved this show as a kid
Neet*
Neeeeet
Wow I totally forgot about this show.
Richard Mulligan was genius on Soap
I loved this show as a kid.
The daughter that was in Child’s Play is a fox.
Loved it.
Is there an ep where one of the characters bites the head off of I guess a chocolate statue that one of the other characters had in their fridge mere moments before learning it was important?
Saturday nights after the golden girls!
