JORDY Announces New Album “SEX WITH MYSELF”, Shares New Song “CAN U HOST?”
Los Angeles-based pop singer-songwriter JORDY has announced his third studio album “SEX WITH MYSELF” will be released on June 14, 2024.
The album is the follow-up to the 2023 album “BOY” and comprises a 7-track.
JORDY said of the album, “I'm almost 30, and of course, I have written about sex before, but never in this uninhibited way. I wanted to use this as a moment to say, 'I'm a grown up now and this is my experience.'”
He continued, “BOY [2023] was the last chapter of everything I needed to say at that point. It was important for me to close that door and use this time to come into my adulthood more, and as an independent artist. I'm at a place where I've healed a lot, and I'm confident enough to explore parts of my adulthood that I wasn't comfortable exploring before.”- From the album, he released the third single called “CAN U HOST?” on May 17, 2024.
The track was written by JORDAN SHULMAN, Perrin Xthona, and Mattisnotfamous who also produced it.
JORDY said of the song, “This song turned into a complete dancefloor pop banger. The lyrics are really cheeky, on-the-nose and funny, and I loved the idea of bringing a sexy dance appeal to the chorus.” - source : Apple Music
