Fans en masse are slinging mud at singer Anita Baker for reportedly canceling her Mother’s Day concert at the last possible moment.
“An Evening with Anita Baker” was set to begin at 7 p.m. at State Farm Arena but was canceled just minutes before it was supposed to start due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to officials with Live Nation.

Many fans stormed onto social media to vent against the eight-time Grammy-winning songstress who has a reputation for being difficult and combative with fans.
“Soooo Mom’s Mother’s Day Present was tickets to the Anita Baker concert tonight, and after making us stand there for over 30 minutes after doors were supposed to open they just CANCELLED the concert outright,” said one X user. “I feel bad for the arena staff tho bc people are NOT happy.”

At some point within that day, someone in a position of authority had to know Ms. Baker was not going to perform AND!!! should have pulled the plug BEFORE all the ppl made that drive and paid for that parking. Concert performers do not traditional show up minutes before going onstage. ESPECIALLY in ATL because of unpredictable insane traffic. When Ms. Baker didn’t show by 12 Noon, somebody should’ve put two & two together & sent out a cancellation SOS!
I’ve produced Ms. Baker in concert & she’s not easy; but, not showing??? Were she ill, there was plenty time to alert everyone. I heard she wasn’t even in the state of GA. Extreme poor taste.
