Hull FC have sent Franklin Pele and Davy Litten out on loan to the Championship. The pair have joined strugglers York Knights on short-term loans, joining the growing list of players currently playing elsewhere who are contracted to the club.

Pele, an off-season signing from NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs, has made eight appearances for the club but struggled in the defeat to London Broncos at the weekend. It's been an eventful start to life at the MKM Stadium for Pele, who was sent off on debut against Hull KR.

As for Litten, who showed great promise during a difficult 2023 season, he has made just two appearances for the Black and Whites this season, the most recent of those coming against St Helens in round nine. The pair will now be in contention to play for Andrew Henderson's side against Halifax Panthers on Sunday.

Pele's departure means that four of the club's off-season signings are not currently at the club. Fa'amanu Brown has left the club permanently while Jayden Okunbur and Liam Tindall are also out on loan in the Championship, featuring for Bradford Bulls.

As for the Black and Whites, they have the likes of Jack Ashworth and Brad Fash closing in on returns while at fullback, Litten's specialist position, there are Jack Walker and Logan Moy competing for the spot.

Hull are next in action against Castleford Tigers a week on Friday. The Black and Whites are currently three points adrift of Craig Lingard's side after eleven rounds of the Super League season.
