Last night, May 13, the 19th annual Music Of tribute concert occurred at the esteemed Carnegie Hall in New York City. During the Michael Dorf Presents event, Todd Rundgren, Grace Potter, Taylor Meier of Caamp, Yola, Iron & Wine, Rickie Lee Jones, Real Estate, Aoife O’Donovan, Neal Francis, and more ran through classics from the shared and solo archives of the late David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash–the latter showed up and contributed to the occasion with a stunning take on “Our House.”

Notably, Nash was not included as a musical outline prior to the event, making his arrival all the more meaningful given the tribute format. For his unannounced stage time, the artist showed up at the end of the evening, reprising the beloved love song, which he wrote while living with folk great and one-time romantic partner Joni Mitchell. After the aforementioned delivery, Nash stuck around for an all-encompassing sing-along featuring each and everyone of the night’s guests, collectively taking on the Stills’ penned 1970 favorite, “Love The One You’re With.”

According to initial rumblings regarding the night’s setlist, Real Estate reportedly pulled out “Dark Star” from the band’s 1977 self-titled collection while Yola went with “Wooden Ships,” and Potter took on two greats, “Helplessly Hoping” before inviting out Leslie Mendelson and Sammy Rae to assist on the Mitchell penned/CSN covered, “Woodstock.” For Rundgren’s stage time, he played through “Almost Cut My Hair.” Other notable inclusions were Iron & Wine’s “Traction in the Rain,” from Crosby’s archive, Steve Earle’s “4 + 20” and Francis’ hometown salute on “Chicago.”
