Beyoncé Scores Another Top 40 Smash With ‘II Hands II Heaven’

Following

It’s now been more than a month since Beyoncé officially went country with her first album in the genre, Cowboy Carter. The project is slowly falling on the Billboard charts, but based on its continued performance, the set is likely going to stick around for a while. As the full-length begins to step back, one of the tracks featured on the project becomes a top 40 hit on another ranking.

“II Hands II Heaven” debuts on this week’s TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart. That tally ranks the most-consumed and most-used tracks on the social media app that shares a name with the ranking. The list looks at which cuts people are utilizing the most as they share fun dance videos and other types of short-form content.

This week, “II Hands II Heaven” launches at No. 39 on the TikTok-focused chart. It narrowly breaks into the top 40 region, which is typically thought of as a demarcation point for when a charting tune becomes a hit on most Billboard tallies.

Beyoncé earns her fifth career top 40 hit on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart this week with her latest appearance. All five of her tracks that have reached the social media ranking have spent at least one turn inside the top 40 arena, though some barely made it to that tier.

“II Hands To Heaven” is now the singer’s lowest-charting track on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 ranking. Before this frame, that honor–if it can be called that–belonged to the tune “I’m That Girl” from her previous full-length Renaissance. That cut only climbed as high as No. 38–just one rung higher than this new song.

Beyoncé’s biggest hit on the TikTok chart remains “Texas Hold ‘Em,” the lead single from Cowboy Carter. So far, it’s her only track to crack the top 10, as it once galloped all the way to No. 3. It has also racked up more weeks on the tally than all of her other hits combined, with nine stays on the roster.

“II Hands II Heaven” surged in popularity on TikTok as a fun challenge emerged that made use of the tune. Even the singer herself got in on the action, sharing a visual across her social media channels that was soundtracked by the new cut.

Beyoncé earns one of the 11 debuts on this week’s TikTok Billboard Top 50. She is joined by fellow musical favorites like Alec Benjamin, Laufey, and even Johnny Cash. Taylor Swift scores a pair of new placements, as two tracks from her most recent album The Tortured Poets Department–which rules the Billboard 200 for a third frame–get their start on this tally.
