Mary Jane Adams Stewart OBITUARY
STEWART, MARY JANE ADAMS 80, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2005 in Grapevine, TX. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Mary Jane’s life will be from 2-4PM Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the home of Jan and Hank McGuffee in Grapevine. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Komen Dallas County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 460 NorthPark Center, Dallas, Texas 75225. Following her tour of duty in the Women’s Army Corp attached to the Army Air Corp, Mary Jane traveled extensively with her husband, Captain John W. Stewart, who also served in the military for 31 years. Her passions included traveling, reading, and sharing stories from her many travels and experiences in the United States military. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, John W. Stewart, daughter, Patricia Heffron, son, Roger Stewart, daughter, Margaret Stewart. Survivors: daughter, Jan McGuffee and husband Hank of Grapevine; daughter-in-law, Susan Stewart; grandchildren, Chris, Courtney and husband Robert, Abigail, Phoebe, Jason and wife Karmen, and Jake; four great grandchildren; cousin, Carson Shaffer and family; and “The Beau Dog”.
