Popcorn time is missing a game changing feature.

Windows

I really think popcorn time or really any app like it (are there any applications similar to popcorn time?) needs to add a mode that shows only whats on a certain streaming platform, sometimes I go on HBO to see whats new, or prime or netflix. But popcorn time just kind of throws everything from everywhere and you rely on the sort by trending to show you whats worth while.

TLDR: popcorn time needs a show "netflix" button

The shows and movies aren’t on the same platform every country. One show can be on Netflix in USA, HBO in England and in a local platform in Spain. Also PPT is basically a Torrent frontend.

And also why would you want to watch "only what netflix has". If you have a specific show in mind, great, search for it, if not.. what is this "neflix stuff", or "hbo stuff" categorization etc.. Its a made up one so they make you pay a subscription in all of them and since this isn't the case with Popcorn Time there is no reason to segregate things like this? There are much more meaningful ways to filter stuff already available.

I think there was a misunderstanding it isn't so I only watch just one platform it's so I can sort by that given platform because sometimes HBO or Netflix will drop something new but it won't be popular or announced and I like to browse through their catalog to see what catches my eye

Seems very niche and not very intuitive, I don't think it's a feature that would be used much by the general public.

If you like to browse what's available on different platforms you can find out via Google i.e. I found this https://www.justwatch.com/us/provider/netflix

:)

Just keep the Trakt app on your phone or computer.

Then just tag the Netflix, HBO, lists, etc., that suit you, and you can very easily/quickly monitor the stuff that interests you.

You mean like this app

Although that’s a demo app for anyone willing to start their own OTT app but it has exactly what you’re asking for.
