On Saturday, Virat was on the verge of breaking another of his unique record when RCB beat CSK at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. It is Virat that holds the record for most sixes hit by an Indian in a single IPL season. Virat is chasing himself closely, having hit 37 sixes in IPL 2024 campaign. He is just one six short of Virat in 2016, who had 38 sixes to his name.
The Bengaluru crowd was waiting in anticipation of another Kohli masterclass when RCB and CSK met for a do-or-die clash. With a playoff spot at stake, Kohli didn’t disappoint. Batting first, Kohli played a brisk innings of 47 runs off 29 balls. His innings included 4 sixes, making IPL 2024 his second highest six hitting campaign in IPL.
