The Don Owens Memorial Lodge 88, Fraternal Order of Police, is set to host a local Peace Officer Memorial Day service on May 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. The service will take place at the Monroe County Court House lawn located at 100 W. Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, IN 47401. In the event of inclement weather, the services will be moved indoors.
This memorial service aims to honor the memory of the eight officers and deputies from both the Bloomington Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.
The public is invited to attend and join us in showing respect for those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our community.
