First Official ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ Makeup Line Open for Pre-Orders

Published

on

Pre-orders for the first official Buffy the Vampire Slayer makeup line, “It’s About Time” by Vampyre Cosmetics, are now open. Buffy fans can either have it shipped to their home, or pick it up at HellmouthCon in June, where original cast members Juliet Landau and Julie Benz, who played the legendary vampires Drusilla and Darla, will be available to sign the VAMPYR Book Palette.

HellmouthCon is the only Buffy convention to take place at the Sunnydale High School filming location. It will include photo ops, autographs, panels with Bloody FM podcasters Frank Bonnaci (Zoning Out), Christopher Feinstein (Haunted American History), and Shelby Novak (Scare You to Sleep), a guided tour of Buffy’s house, and more. A percentage of the con’s ticket sales will go to the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Ron Glass Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Rachel Clinesmith, the founder of Vampyre Cosmetics says, “Buffy fans are intelligent, wonderful, open-minded, fun, creative people. We thought about them at every step of the process. This campaign has everything Buffy fans love – I know ‘cause I am one. It’s also an exciting, fresh evolution. It’s a continuation and an exploration. Every generation has one Slayer. But hopefully all generations will love this specially tailored makeup line!”

Buffy fans can choose either the 45 shade VAMPYR Book Palette by itself, or the entire collection, which includes:

  • a two sided removable magnetic print from an exclusive photoshoot with Julie Benz & Juliet Landau
  • the VAMPYR Book Palette
  • 3 crossheart liquid lipstick shades
  • a velvet mirror compact
  • a waterproof gel eyeliner in an ink pot

Here are the coolest horror collectibles unveiled this week!

Twister Steelbook 4K UHD from Warner Bros.

Twister lands on Steelbook 4K Ultra HD (with Digital) on July 9 just in time for the release of its sequel, Twisters, in theaters on July 19. Warner Bros.’s 1996 disaster thriller has been restored in 4K with HDR and Dolby Atmos audio.

Jan de Bont (Speed) directs from a script by Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park) and Anne-Marie Martin. Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton star with Jami Gertz, Cary Elwes, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alan Ruck, Todd Field, and Jeremy Davies.

Special features include: a new interview with de Bont; audio commentary by de Bont and visual effects supervisor Stefen Fangmeier; Chasing the Storm: Twister Revisited; Anatomy of a Twister; HBO’s The Making of Twister; and Van Halen’s “Human Beings” music video.

Leatherface Plush from Kidrobot

While most Texas Chain Saw Massacre merch focuses on Leatherface’s killing mask that he wears through much of the film, the “Pretty Woman” mask that he dons for the finale is arguably even creepier.

Kidrobot is celebrating 50 years of Tobe Hooper’s masterpiece by adding Pretty Woman Leatherface to its Phunny line. Shipping in July, the 7.5″ plush doll costs $16.99.

Freddy Krueger Print from Outpost 512

Get your claws on Outpost 512’s poster depicting various incarnations from Freddy Krueger from throughout the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise slaughtering one another.

Illustrated by JJ Harrison, the 24×18 screen print is limited to 75 and costs $100. It will ship in 2-3 weeks.

Zombi Vinyl Soundtrack from Mutant

The soundtrack for Zombi — the international version of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead — is available on vinyl from Mutant. The remastered score is composed by Goblin (Suspiria, Deep Red).

The album is pressed on 140-gram red vinyl. It’s housed in a jacket featuring artwork by Greg Ruth and an insert with character cut-outs. Scheduled for release on June 14, it costs $40.

Sasquatch Sunset Blu-ray from Decal Releasing

Sasquatch Sunset stomps its big feet onto Blu-ray on May 28 via Decal Releasing. The surreal comedy is executive produced by Ari Aster.

Meagan Navarro’s review said, “Sasquatch Sunset is unabashed in its absurd humor and fixation with bodily fluids. While there’s impressive artistry on display, this cryptid comedy is prone to meandering, and its constant barrage of toilet humor tests patience.”

David Zellner (Kumiko The Treasure Hunter, The Curse) & Nathan Zellner (The Curse) direct from a script by David. Riley Keough, Jesse Eisenberg, Christophe Zajac-Denek, and Nathan Zellner star.

The disc includes Sasquatch Birth Journal #2, a 2010 short film by the Zellner brothers.
