ST. LOUIS — Another great day for Mother’s Day, with highs in the low to mid 80s and mostly sunny skies. Clouds will increase this evening into tonight as our next system approaches from the southern plains.

This system may begin to bring a few scattered showers or thundershowers overnight, but rain will become more widespread by Monday afternoon and evening. Rain and some thunder will continue overnight through much of Tuesday as the low pressure gradually shifts east.

We do not anticipate severe weather at this time. After a brief break on Wednesday, more showers and storms return Thursday into Friday. After today, temperatures will be cooler, returning to the 70s by Wednesday.
