Urassaya Sperbund as Boa Hancock !

Fan Cast (Anime Spoilers)

Name: Urassaya Sperbund
Age: 31 years old
Date of Birth: March 18, 1993
Place of Birth: Pattaya, Thailand
Nationality: Thai-Norwegian
Height: 1.71 meters (5 feet 7 inches)
Profession: Actress, Model
Language: Thai, English, Spanish, French and Norwegian

Yaya is the perfect actress to portray the role of Boa Hancock. Her age fits perfectly, and her Thai-Norwegian origin adds an interesting dimension to the character. The fact that Boa Hancock is considered Chinese in One Piece is not a problem, as casting directors often look for actors based on the character's ethnicity rather than specific origin. This is demonstrated in season 2 of the series where, for example, for the role of Tashigi, they seek an Asian actress, while for Robin, they look for a Latina actress.

Additionally, there are striking similarities between Yaya and Boa Hancock. Just like Boa Hancock, Yaya embodies natural grace and beauty. Their charisma and confidence on stage reflect strong personalities. She appears much younger than her age, just like Hancock. As a model and actress, Yaya possesses a radiant presence that would captivate audiences, much like how Boa Hancock commands attention wherever she goes. It's remarkable how much they resemble each other even before any effort has been made to refine her appearance, makeup, hairstyle, and even don blue contact lenses! Yaya's past performances, supported by over 80 awards, prove her undeniable talent in the world of cinema.

Yaya specializes in romantic series, where she excels at portraying a wide range of emotions. Her facial expressions are incredibly expressive, adding depth and authenticity to her performances. Her versatility has led her to appear in various productions, including those featured on Netflix. In her upcoming film, "Home Sweet Home: Rebirth," alongside Michelle Morrone, she continues to expand her repertoire and captivate audiences with her dynamic performances.

She would be perfectly balanced between representing the Amazon warrior vibe while still looking like her anime counterpart.

Honestly while I have high hopes for it and it seems like Matt Owens is down to do a full adaptation, Netflix's business model is about getting new customers and not keeping old ones as they believe once you get a subscription youll likely keep it. I've heard this could be changing now and with just how many people bought Netflix just to watch one piece, its possible theyd keep it. The viewship has to be like top 10 every season though and not dip all that much which is a tough ask.

If something like Stranger Things can, One Piece will long enough for at least Water Seven. I need Franky.

Oh yeah for sure, but I think the max we get to is the marineford saga. Their longest running show was only 7 seasons and it wasn’t high budget like OPLA is. Still hoping but I know it’s unlikely we get a full adaptation cuz idk if the actors would even be down for that

I think the straw hats (so far!) Would be 😂 Can't speak for side casts though...

A well adapted one piece adaptation is a gold mine for netflix. I think they’ll try to keep it going

And now that the anime remake is in production it looks like netflix is going all in on the IP
