LPB-3 Linear Power Booster & EQ
The LPB-3 Linear Power Booster & EQ could be the perfect boost pedal for many guitarists, and the design has become even more flexible than the original pedal. It is inspired by the original boost effect that essentially launched Electro-Harmonix back in 1968, the LPB-1.
Electro-Harmonix’s Mike Matthews worked on and sold the original LPB-1 before even the Big Muff Pi, and back then, it plugged straight into your guitar amp. They still make a modern-day version of the effect, but now they have a more advanced version.
Clean Boost
In 2024, EHX pushed the design even further with the new LPB-3 Linear Power Booster & EQ pedal, which offers between +20dB and +33dB of clean boost. Then, there is the powerful 3-band EQ with a parametric midrange control and a High/LowQ switch. Perfect for sculpting the guitar tone to make it stand out in a mix.
Bypass
The compact pedal enclosure makes it perfect for most pedalboard setups, and it has selectable buffered or true bypass switching. The design has extended 30V internal power rails for increased headroom, ensuring a clean and clear boost even at higher gain settings. There is also a Pre-gain knob for more precise volume control.
