Oglesby students compete at district UIL event at Navarro College

Five Oglesby High School students attended the district UIL meet hosted by Navarro College on Friday, April 5, and on Saturday, April 6.

Presley Robinson competed in spelling and tied for first place; after the tie breaker portion, she won second place. She was also awarded ninth place in current events. She attended regionals at Blinn College on April 26.

Collin Walker won fifth place in current events and was an alternate for regionals.

Taetym Sanders placed sixth in ready writing and was an alternate for regionals.

Marlee Henderson won 11th place in calculator.

Allisson Uribe placed 13th in calculator and 14th in math.

The students competed against five other schools within their district, which included students ranging from freshman to seniors.
