Hilarious New Teaser for Netflix's 'Exploding Kittens' Animated Series

"It's Godcat's world, and we're all just a PR ploy." Netflix has revealed another official teaser trailer for the animated series Exploding Kittens, yes it's an adaptation of the card game and comics by the same name. "God and the Devil - trapped in cat bodies." From the Executive Producers of Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill, and The Office comes a new animated adult comedy series based on the popular card game. The eternal conflict between Heaven and Hell reaches epic proportions when both God and the Devil are sent to Earth - in the bodies of chunky house cats. The original game's premise: "Bring the catnip. Draw as many cards as you can, and do your best to dodge — or defuse — fatal felines. Or else, boom goes the dynamite!" The series pits good vs. evil - but with cats. With the voices of Tom Ellis as God Cat, with Sasheer Zamata, Suzy Nakamura, Mark Proksch, Ally Maki, and Kenny Yates. I'm glad this isn't animation meant for kids, because all of the brutal, rude, amusing quips from God Cat are an important part of making this hilarious.

Tom Ellis is GodCat - he may look like a chunky house cat, but he's actually God trapped in that body. Exploding Kittens is an animated series showrun by creators Shane Kosakowski ("You're the Worst", "Teenage Bounty Hunters") and Matthew Inman (founder of the Exploding Kittens card game and The Oatmeal web comics). It's written by Matthew Inman and Elan Lee. With episodes directed by animation filmmaker Eddie Rosas (director on the series "Mulligan" and "Trash Truck", assistant director on "The Simpsons", who also worked on The Iron Giant as an animator in one of his first gigs). Executive produced by Peter Chernin, Greg Daniels, Dustin Davis, Matthew Inman, Mike Judge, Shane Kosakowski, Elan Lee, Jenno Topping.
