Dr. Michael David Weiner

Michael David Weiner age 80 of Duluth died on May 8, 2024. He was born and raised in St. Paul and graduated from Central High School. He attended medical school at the University of Minnesota. Michael completed his residencies in Santa Barbara, CA and Detroit, MI; and then earned his specialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery from Harvard. He moved to Duluth in 1988, becoming the first plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Duluth Clinic. Later in his career, Michael did locum work across the state. He particularly loved the communities of Virgina, Hoyt Lakes, and Aurora. In his free time, Michael enjoyed travelling, watching movies, and walking his dog at the Lester Golf Course. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Dorothy (Slonim) Weiner. Michael is survived by his wife, Geri Russo Weiner; children, Mark Damon & Jennifer (Jay) Morris; step-son, Chris Russo; granddaughter, Maile; siblings, Bob (Paula) Weiner and Jeannie (Gary) Sultan; niece, Sophia, nephew, Cody; dear friends, Harry Nynas and Carol Tokarczyk. A graveside service will be held at 12noon in Temple Emanuel Cemetery in Duluth, MN on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home 218-727-3555.
