Bayer Leverkusen created history by defeating Augsburg 2-1 at home on Saturday, with the victory sealing a maiden Bundesliga title for Xabi Alonso’s men .

Leverkusen became the team to end Bayern Munich’s dominance in the German top-division, bringing their reign as champions that had spanned more than a decade to an end this season. And they did so in style by finishing on 90 points, 17 more than the second-placed VfB Stuttgart.

Bayern, who have won the Bundesliga an unprecedented 32 times, ended up in the third spot by finishing just a point short of Stuttgart following a 4-2 defeat against Hoffenheim on the final matchday on Saturday.

Leverkusen didn’t just end Bayern’s reign as champions, they did so without losing a single match throughout the season.

Here are the numbers behind Xabi Alonso’s team’s remarkable run:

0: Bayer Leverkusen did not lose once in the Bundesliga this season.

1: Bayer Leverkusen are the first team in German football history to go through a Bundesliga season unbeaten.

51: Bayer Leverkusen are yet to lose in 51 matches in all competitions this season. The run includes 34 Bundesliga games, 12 Europa League matches and five in the German Cup.

1: Bundesliga titles in Bayer Leverkusen’s 120-year history.
